5 ways to improve your website
As experts in Graphic and Motion Design, we know our fair share on how best to structure a website.
It can seem like an overwhelming task with no clear starting point. We’ve put together some key information to help you improve your website.
01 Information Overload
Websites are kinda like dating…if someone goes on your page it usually means they’re interested, so don’t scare them off. Though it’s tempting to display all services and products on the homepage, it’ll generally be a mess. Keep things simple with clear branding and easy navigation onto different pages (bonus: this will help your SEO too).
02 Make It Make Sense
The brain is naturally attracted to things that make sense together, so don’t make that a hard job with inconsistent branding. Stick to a colour palette, include your logo and branding on every page, and always consider the flow of all of your web pages together.
03 Keep It Moving
Plenty of online articles confirm that using video content on your website is more engaging than pictures and text. Adding little ‘easter eggs’ of animation touches add a more premium feel to the overall site. How many can you find on ours?
04 You Have My Attention
So you’ve got them on your site and they’re swooning over how beautifully you’ve laid everything out…now what? Remember you’re garnering online traffic for a reason. Where you can, insert a call to action (CTA) to guide the user. It’s not just about having a good website, it’s how you use it to achieve your goals.
05 Digging For Gold
This one’s really important. When you look at your website, do you see your brand’s personality shining through? To create an emotional bond, you need to tell a story that’s relatable. Use engaging, authentic content to achieve this and improve your website. Always think, why should they choose you over the competition?
